ZenTek believes that good coats should fit, flatter, be non-restrictive and provide protection and comfort. That’s the philosophy behind Zentek™.

Zentek  The secret behind this technology is Comfortemp® fabric, which keeps the body cool when it’s hot outside and warm when it’s cold. This is the ultimate solution for dogs with little fat or fur, to protect them from extreme conditions while still allowing them the freedom to run, walk and simply be dogs. Keep your dog in the comfort zone.
Zentek ™is a marriage of technology and comfort, creating beautiful, well-fitting dog coats (straight back and curved back profiles) that are water-resistant, breathable and most importantly, temperature-regulating. Dogs have limited ability to regulate their body temperature. They can only cool through their paws or pant to cool through their lungs.

ComforTemp
Canine "normal" body temperature range is 100.5 - 102.5 Fahrenheit
Normal body temperature is less than 103F, but once the temperature goes over 105F a number of physiologic events can occur that make it even more difficult for the animal to regain control of its temperature. At this time, oxygen delivery to the system cannot keep up with rapidly elevating demand. If the temperature exceeds 108F, cellular damage starts to occur in a number of organ systems including the kidneys, liver, gastrointestinal tract, heart and brain. The extent of the cellular damage depends on the magnitude and the duration of the temperature elevation. Clearly, this can be a life-threatening situation, but for those animals that survive there is the possibility of long term problems after the occurrence.
The coat claims to be Temperature Regulating in both Cold weather and WARM Weather!
I tested this coat in the Arizona Heat. The ulti-mutt conditions to test heat!

I carried an ear canal thermometer with me to accurately test the dogs body temperature before and after our training sessions. I also noted the outside temp before and after. And I have to tell ya, the coat works! Yes a little bizarre putting a jacket on your dog in the heat. But you gotta remember it's just like any other cool coat, but BETTER!  I do not like to wet me dogs during training and therefore don’t use the evaporation coats. This is a NEW technology that should be seriously looked at!

I tested Trinity without the coat when it was 75F outside, she got to 106F! Which is almost overheating! And the scary part is that at 101F ( normal ) the dog looks the same as when they are close to over heating at 106F body temp! Carry a thermometer! Found at PetCo FOR $30, a  great tool!

I have tested various times,  from 93F outside to 106F outside and every time Trinity never got above 104F while wearing the coat! This coat will be a life saver!! Be sure to check it out!

We have also used it in rainy wet weather. I have had the dogs sleep in them while camping on cool nights, they move well during play time and perform great during swimming! The coats are versatile allowing free movement.
